FLT UNIVERSE Health and Safety Policy





This policy has been put in place to help prevent accidents and to minimise the risks of work related injuries and illnesses, it is our intention to provide clear instructions, information and training to ensure our candidates are safe and competent in their work
Part 1: statement of intent
Our aim is to ensure suitable, adequate on site PPE is to be worn at ALL times.
To ensure the safe use and handling of substances is adhered to (COSHH).
To maintain on site health and safety policies and procedures.
To implement emergency procedures, including evacuation should the need arise, including fire emergencies and other significant events.
To provide thorough training and instruction as per current HSE guidance and accrediting bodies recommendations and syllabuses.
To review and update this policy on a regular basis and/or when HSE or accrediting bodies syllabuses change.

Part 2: person responsible for FLT UNIVERSE LTD policy
Overall and final responsibility for health and safety resides with Mr Adrian Wilkins, managing director of flt universe ltd, the day to day responsibility for ensuring this policy is put into place and to ensure the standards are maintained and improved where necessary to include maintaining instruction, discipline, supervision, risk assessments, emergency procedures and any other health and safety business. We will cooperate and consult with on site supervisors and managers on any issues that may arise and advise trainees to also follow this route, to ensure they take care of themselves and others around them whilst undergoing training and thereafter.


Part 3: arrangements for health and safety
Risk assessment:
We will complete daily and also pre-use risk assessments if required, we will also follow this process with all MHE that we are using for training purposes.
Training:
We will ensure that ALL training provided is in full accordance with accrediting bodies syllabuses and meets HSE guidance.
We will ensure that all on site PPE regulations are met by both instructional staff and candidates at all times with no exceptions unless proven medical reasons dictate otherwise.
Consultation:
We will consult with trainees and on site health and safety representatives on a daily basis to ensure all procedures are up to date and all parties are fully aware of current legislation and any changes to that legislation as per the HSE website, HSE bulletins and accrediting bodies syllabuses.
Evacuation:
We will make sure that we are fully aware of on site evacuation procedures and that all staff who are involved in the training programmes are fully aware of these procedures, including but not limited to fire exits, fire fighting equipment and marshalling points in the event of fire or other similarly dangerous occurences.
